Who Are We? 

Founded in 2007 by friends and family of Cooper Benjamin, this non-profit organization was formed to support the ongoing needs of families through education and support, to learn where to search for the answers when dealing with childhood brain tumors.  A then six year old "Cooper" was diagnosed with a specific and aggressive brain tumor called a Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma in 2005.

What We Do. 

The corporation manages the Cooper Bell Memorial Scholarship which is given annually to a deserving student entering the University of West Georgia Art Program. 

It also oversees the courtyard garden located within the grounds of The First United Methodist Church of Douglasville which has turned out to be a beautiful place to focus, meditate, or simply pray over your daily life. 

The Garden also supports other organizations which are deeply rooted in the research of brain tumors found in children.

4th Annual Golf Tournament

Join us for a special day of golf and fellowship.  Cooper's Garden is a memorial tournament which helps support local missions within the area.

Over the past three tournaments, over $100,000 have been raised to fund and support Cooper's Garden located at the Douglasville First United Methodist Church, endowed an annual scholarship at the University of West Georgia, and continues to provide funds to the Butterfly Fund created and managed by the Brain Tumor Foundation for Children.
